Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance Training
| IWDTC offers vehicle inspection and maintenance training. This course involves the skills and knowledge required to carry out inspection and maintenance of a commercial vehicle, including action to implement the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications for routine checks, to clean the vehicle and to ensure that all specified safety requirements are met and that the vehicle is operational to the requirements of both the workplace and the relevant State/Territory roads and traffic authority.

This course includes:
- visual inspection procedures
- pre-operational checking procedures
- warning systems checking procedures
- diagnosis of vehicle faults and undertaking of repairs for the safe operation of a vehicle
- problems that may occur during the routine inspection of a vehicle and appropriate actions and solutions
- maintenance of all vehicle systems
- carrying out minor routines
- completion of relevant documentation
- basic principles of operation of systems on commercial vehicles, including:
- electrical systems
- fuel systems
- cooling systems
- steering systems
- exhaust systems
- tyres
- brakes
